OK, it's something to go on at least.

I think this fame varies depending on who you ask. The
Valkarians would see it as famous, other East Islanders
might not. But, this makes for an interesting situation:
three potentially hostile parts: the Mokato Empire, the
Jrusteli on Haragala and the Valkarians. I see plenty of
opportunity to explain how their interactions changed the
political map.

Quite possible. The Valkarians could then have helped the
East Islanders to eventually throw the Jrusteli out of
Haragala.

A wise choice IMO. Since Greg doesn't exercise direct
editorial control, discrepancies are most likely inevitable.
Right now I'm beginning to enjoy fitting these new facts
into what I (think) I know about the East Isles!
