Soul (theism), Essence (Malkionism), Spirit (animism) are all
prefectly good terms and have distinct meanings when used in context.
Previously I used the term soul as a generic term for all three but
I'm trying not to do that any more. As a generic term perhaps we could
say they are all kinds of Life Force.

The Great Self is another term with a specific meaning that isn't
being hijacked by anybody.   Souls, Essences and Spitrits are not
kinds of Great Self, or part of the Great Self. It is 'none of the
above'.
