It depends on whether the Illuminate is a Lunar Illuminate or the
classical post-Nysaloran Illuminate.  Lunar Illuminates struggle
to find any sort of impediment in their career path while classical
illuminates are treated with some degree of caution.

Why would he or she have to demonstrate a lack of harmful
urges?  What's the point of being in the army if you don't
have any harmful urges?

Illumination won't affect this any more than it will affect their need
to breathe or defecate.
