I have some numbers, and some clues.
In 1 ST the population of Dragon Pass was a few thousand people, and it
was among the most densely populated regions.
Dara Happa, in its entirely, was similiar. However, it was much larger in
region and carrying capacity.
Seshnela, the Old Seshnela, had a couple thousand.
Most of the world was reduced of pockets of a few hundred individuals per
"nation."
These grew quickly after the Dawn, more or less doubling ever two or three
generations, up to their carrying capacity.
Great conflicts reduced the numbers drastily. In 500, for instance,
plagues and war greatly reduced the western lands first. When Arkat's army
led by Dragon Pass Heortlings swept through Dara Happa they ravaged it and
its population probably dropped by half.
The EWF apparantly had some methods for rasing the carrying capacity of
the land, for Kerofinela was much more densely populated than today.
Kralorela suffered normal depradations, but seems largely to have grown to
capacity and a bit beyond.
I have little other hard data.
