  I suggest Mikko that Donald is saying that non combatants (which is most of Heortling society) would or should not have their initiation based on what amounts to be a combat orientated HQ. There is always another way for example.
   
  Going on from what Jane's example initiation then that could explain why the Herotlings have provided such a dogged resistance to all since the dawn! A hangover from IFWW is they just dont when to quit!
