Ernalda is dead, but the first initiation isn't about the Gods, it's about
mortals and culture heroes Heort and Hengal. It's not like the boys do the
lightbringer quest, or emulate orlanth. They experience the lives of the
Vinkotlings and the Heortlings, and stand at the end of the world at IFWW.

I don't see any reason why the girls wouldn't do the same.
