I'd be cautious about assuming objectivity in what you read in ILH2. I
think the Lunars no more have a lock on mysticism than any other mystic
organization, of which there have been many in Glorantha. I think what's
in ILH2 is merely the Lunar version.

Yes... the deeper one's understanding of mysticism is, the more powerful
one becomes. Yet to exercise that power is to deny the ultimate truth
and thus fail in your pursuit of it. Thus the fate of Sheng Seleris (and
Arkat, IMO).
It's all very "forest for the trees." No one can tell you what it is
because if you were capable of understanding the answer, you'd never ask
the question.
