  A suggestion;
   
  Talk with the player and find out what sort of power or ability she would really enjoy having that she can't get via her cult associations. The challenge is then for YOU to put the character in a Heroquest situation where they will use this power and thereby be able to 'cement' it. 
   
  You may reason that this is an innate ability that the character actually has, but has discovered. Its a bit like how PC's normally learn feats for affinities, but this should feel a bit more like experimental heroquesting. 
   
  Maybe a bit like a 'mutant power' to draw an analogue from comic books. Thus the player can 'discover' the power in a way they never imagined, which I think will be more memorable.
