[Glorantha] When elves grow old

I like the view that elves start out as fairly human looking, but become
more tree like as they grow older. The Elder Secrets version of them just
growing totally sessile and dying is a bit unsatisfying though. Take a
look at these:

Old elves become treelike. Heck, they propably become trees, but parhaps
some of them are like the Huorns of Fangor, and can still be roused to
defend the forest in dire need.

Those pictures bring to mind the fighting trees of the elves, and thus a
further thought occurs. What if the fighting trees are old, old elves that
have been awakened to fight!

what do you guys think? Personally I think it fits nicely,
