So if praxians with familiarity to uz call them the 'dark men',
wouldn't it be intuitive step for beasy riders to call the lesser
enlo that run a lot of uz errands the 'dark boons'.

Consider also expression 'dusk boons'.

Of course 'boon' also points to concept of baboons, which
are recognizably man-like but not quite 'men'.

So maybe praxians are to an extent aware of the trollkin curse.
