[Glorantha] Minor deities and the compromise

I'm still (after all these years with Glorantha) a bit confused about the
details of the compromise. I've understood it to mean that the God plane
(and propably Spirit- and Essense planes too) are frozen in time. The
god's exist, but can not do anything new.

But how absolute is this? How about a "human" that lives in a village in
the Sky Realm or in the Essense plane? Can an individual be interested in
what goes on in the mundane world? Are the people in the mundane world
individuals to the God's and spirits? Does Orlanth remember a worshipper?

I'm basically thinking about sub deity beings like Gavreninkin (Yinkin's
son) or a specific Certamus (those solar angels). Do they act like
individuals, or unchanging archetypes?

The impression I get from the Hero Quest material is that heroquesting is
rather like having a lucid dream. That's is very cool, and a useful
analogy for me if true.

Uh... but can somebody try to enlighten me a bit on all this?
