... Now I suspect that what John meant to say here was "Macaque:Ape" - Macaques being a species of Baboon-related primates that include the Barbary Ape (Europe's only non-human primate), and Macaws being a type of parrot...

...But maybe I'm wrong, and the next sequel to Beak No Evil/Bad Boon Rising will see our intrepid heroes sent "up the jungle" where they will find them selves culturally opposed to a new, colourful, and talkative type of Keet? 

(John, Jane and other foolhardy types are at liberty to take this as a challenge if they wish...)
