As I've said, I think the problem is that most other people in this 
discussion - Greg included - would not have thought of that as a 
definition of 'brain'. Heck, while I worked out from context very early 
on that that's what you meant, I wouldn't use the word to mean that 
myself (and, FWIW, the /Concise OED/ agrees with me). I think this is 
where a lot of misunderstanding, even acrimony, comes from - people are 
not construing your words to mean what you intend them to mean.
