It’s no problem at all.
Wizards do NOT do all he heroquesting for their cltures.

Santo suggests

Both of which are possible.
Though in the latter case it’s rather foolish, since a wizard would
certainly help on the quest.
Unless, of course, such person was no there to begin with.
