Ducks do not appear in WBRM, I believe they have a counter or two
in Dragon Pass which is the later version. They appear in the RQII
rulebook which may well be their first appearance.

Interestingly enough the description describes them as being cursed
by "the gods" for not fighting chaos. Not by the evil emperor. It
also says that it is unknown whether they were humans cursed with
beaks and feathers or ducks cursed with intelligence and the loss
of flight.
