I wonder whether the 2 statues you refer to might be the 2 jolanti outside of the Dwarf mine in Dragon Pass?  These do feature in a classic illustration.  Incidently loved KoDP, was poring over some of the scneenshots only last night.

Dwarf knoll is an oasis in Prax, with 3 or 4 spoil heaps, 7 venerable oasis folk and a weatherbeaten stone (iron?) statue of a dwarf.  In my imagination this had always loomed large; but in my friend Richard's it is of a dwarf of regular (diminished) stature.  The above account in ToRM sheds no light on the size of said statue.

Of course, since this is Glorantha, it's entirely possible that different visitors to the oasis leave with entirely different memories of its height ("I tell you, it was b****y huge!).

Maybe I'm getting my geography mixed up, but you can see a statue 
(actually a pair of 'em) in the computer game (via exploration)); we 
used a drawing in RQ Adventures as our inspiration.
