Thank you Greg, that was very helpful. I'll propably have a few more
follow up questions later, but now just this one:

I asked:

An intriguing answer. I wonder where the "usually" line goes. Could it be
that deciples would be close enough to the god to be individually
memorable? Then again the deciples seem to become almost carbon copies of
the deities, so parhaps Greg is talking about heroes here?
