Well, there's two or three ways to look at it, as I see it:
1. On the one hand, being sickened by a vampire's eye view of cold-bloodedly
killing its enemies (in this case ducks) is probably a healthy reaction!

2. Any military plan of attack is basically detailing an organised way to
kill people. If you've heard tacticians talking about driving people into
"killing zones" across which they have set up pre-set fields of fire, it is
brutal, cold, efficient, and absolutely true to military life. Again, being
sickened by it is probably a healthy response.

3. We play games that involve imaginary people and creatures killing one
another! It's a bit harsh to accuse someone of writing "snuff" for an
in-character piece of writing, just because it's a bit tasteless. After
all, the defining feature of snuff is that it is creating entertainment from
the death of *real* people, not imaginary ones, still less imaginary
sentient humanoid ducks.

3a. I liked it! And Simon's other Upland Marsh related writings!
