Correct. The Great Darkness is Chaos, not Darkness. Except that Chaos isn't
an Element (except when it is.) It's a phase between the "Then" of GodTime
and "Now". It's when everything went to hell (literally) and lost identity
for a while, so that not even "Alive" or "Dead" had real meaning. Not until
the Dawn. (Of course, this is all from the Theyalan viewpoint, and is not
Pan-Gloranthan - the various cultures all have their own names for the
period we refer to as "the Great Darkness", and their own myths of what
happened then).
We know that it's the time that the Otherworlds collided (or split apart),
and "modern" Glorantha was born.
