Unless you allow for the usual earth goddess parthenogenesis in achieving
the next generation.

Taken to further extremes with the identification of that wasp thing which
Yanafal overcame with the sword-wielding anthropomorph (or at least
sword-morph plus wielder) Orlanthi deity.
My current take on Humakt is that he is not a son of Umath, but a part
which has been separated away.
Umath's first act was an act of separation (of Earth and Sky). I see Umath
and Eurmal questing down with Vivamort. Humakt returned, with the sword.
Umath had his row with Jagrekriand (Tolat, Shargash - all the while not
sure whether that was a kind of self-killing to define both Shargash and
the Storm Tribe) and disappeared without experiencing Death (as defined by
the Orlanthi).

There is more evidence for that. Check the entry for Grizzly Peak in
Dragon Pass - Land of Thunder for differences between Vingkotlings and
Sylilings. Also Odayla in Storm Tribe, then the various bear cults in ILH2
and the other source referenced from the moon bear write-up there.

IMO the Syliling differences are older, and go deeper than the differences
even between Talastari and northern Heortlings.
