[Glorantha] Multiple HeroQuests

After many years patient threats, cajoling, and bribery, I have
finally managed to get my group (of largely D&D players, though we've
played Shadowrun and Champions a fair bit as well) to play Glorantha
(admittedly using RQ3 rules to start with, but I'm hoping to move on
to HeroQuest either as well/instead of eventually). So, "Hi", I guess,
and I hope I'll be hanging around.
My main fascination with Glorantha is HeroQuesting; I've previously
spoken to such luminaries as Nikk Effingham about this (though I'm not
sure he'd remember), and I love playing KoDP just to try the various
options in the HeroQuests there.
One thing I've never seen anything on is whether or not it's possible
(or common) to repeat the same HeroQuest more than once. There are
many cases where you might want to do this:
- The most obvious is that you failed the first time (in a non-fatal
fashion) and you want to have another crack at it.
- The other possibility is experimental HeroQuesting; let's say that
you want to alter Yelmalio so that he gets Fire Powers, so you repeat
Hill of Gold and beat the snot out of Zorak Zoran over and over again.
Is it even possible to do this? Or since there is no Time on a
HeroQuest, are you "already" walking the same path, preventing you
from repeating (or at least from repeating and getting a different
result). Does Illumination change the answer? (Does Illumination even
exist anymore in HeroQuest? I'm a novice with respect to the "new
rules").
