How is that necessarily impossible in a Year-Marriage?
Especially as Year-Marriages have the advantage of yearly celebrations
on Renewal Day (insert appropriate Orlanthi holiday here). This is
perfect for mythological needs.
I agree that it is much less common to do this sort of thing in mundane
Third Age Heortling society, but it is probably one of the odd
possibilities that jurists have to cite whenever they quote marital
precedents.
