Nah. I know that's the RQ3 version, but the RQ2 era material paints a
different picture.
I think the RQ-3 era treatment is a terrible piece of writing, and
deserves to be ignored.
I use Truestone much more like the ultimate crystal, with a set capacity.
I'm not sure I like the blank/set logic either. That is quite nice as _a_
type of Truestone, but I like to think there are also ones that do not get
set (you can store different things in them at different times), and ones
that are aligned with a certain rune. So a 6 point Death-stone could store
Humakti, Zorak Zorani etc. magic, or Death related spirits or sorcery.
I'll propably go with a "runic" stone like that having twice the capacity
of a generic stone (so 1d6*2 for a small piece).
I also like to use Truestone like a more cinematic version of a crystal
for the purposes of housing a spirit, daemon or essense (again as the
crystals work in RQ2).
