Cults of Prax (RQ2) entry says
"...Any Truestone can be used as a rock or sling weapon. It does normal
stone damage, but will also bypass any magical protection, and also serve
to act as an Attack spell with Power equal to the _number_of_Rune_points_
it's capable of holding if it encounters Countermagic or other spells
which can be knocked down."
I don't remember seeing any rules for the capacities or the runestones
(forget about the strange RQ3 era stuff). I've always gone with 1 Rune
point = 10 magic points. So if a truestone could store 4 runepoints, one
could store up to 40 points of MP (or battlemagic POW in RQ2 speak) in it.
Does anybody remember a rule for the capacity? I'd guess it's much like
the POW-storing crystals, with a small stone storing 1d6 Rune points.
Biturian sells a blank Truestone (a finger sized red rock) for 1500
lunars, and seems quite pleased with himself. That's the only indication
of price I've seen for these things. The same for crystals in general. (In
our games we've usually gone with the MP storing crystals going for 100
lunars / point of capacity.)
Parhaps the information is out there? Does anybody remember seeing any
rules for the capacity of Truestones? What about their price?
I also remember a thing about truestone burning chaotic things, but can't
find a reference.
