If you are planning fun and games in the Greatlands then may I refer you to the Gwandorsaga, episodes 31 to 39 I think, as a source of many colourful descriptions and characters.  
 
My favourite episode is the battle of Than Ulbar, episode 37 I think.  Than Ulbar is a chaos city and Great Temple to Thanatar.
